Decks

Decks are wonderful additions to your backyard. It's your opportunity to make your backyard something special and unique with a well-designed and well-executed structure. Decks are elevated floors built outdoors and connected to your own home. They give you a large spatial area to place plants, tables, chairs and just about any other decorations or pieces of furniture you may want outdoors. I promise you; your backyard will become a beautiful thing.

Exterior Renovations/Refurbishment

Your home may be needing an aesthetic upgrade of a sort. Maybe you have something in mind, or you don’t and are looking for suggestions. Don’t worry, I'll deliver on your needs while constructing the proper plans and using the most effective and efficient materials to maintain your home’s protection from elements that may cause it to structurally decay. As I've said before I’ll work with you every step of the way to provide you with something that'll leave you smiling and loving your home THAT much more.

As-Built Drawing Package

I also provide complete As-Built drawing services for your existing property, be it residential or commercial. These drawings provide you detailed information about your own property in terms of floor layouts with accurate area calculations, existing all electro-mechanical services equipment etc., and building sections showing structural components and existing structures. Some other things to note are exterior elevations showing heights, window design, and roof lines. This information can enable you to plan future renovations or extensions to the existing floor space for additional habitable space.

Kitchen/Kitchenettes & Bath Design

Kitchens and bathrooms can be more than just facilities for particular purposes, give them that touch of innovation and inspiration that really brings them to life, and consequently your whole house too. My kitchen and bath design service promises to deliver just that and no less. Throughout the process, your inputs and my expertise will come together to develop a kitchen; bathroom that you'll enjoy for years to come, I assure you that.

Coach House

Ottawa Home Owners are allowed to build Coach House in their yard with the following restrictions
 
IF BUILT IN THE CITY:
It is a one storey with an area that can not be any greater than 40 per cent the size of the main house, 40 percent the size of the yard, or 80 square metres, whichever is smallest.
 
IF BUILT OUTSIDE THE CITY:
It can be two storeys (above a garage) and can be no greater than 40 per cent the size of the main House, 40 percent the size of the yard, or 95 Square Metres, whichever is smallest.
 

Rooftop patios are not allowed. Water and sewer services would have to come from the Main House to prohibit the Coach Houses from being severed from the Main Property. A Home could have an Apartment within, or a Coach House in the yard, but not both

The Ontario Building Code Act requires homeowners to obtain a building permit prior to construction to ensure construction meets the Building Code standards and other municipal requirements including zoning. By applying for a building permit, you ensure that your project meets minimum structural, fire, and health and safety building standards as legislated by the Province of Ontario.
